Main Ingredients:

Bajra flour

2 cups

Boiled and mashed potatoes

¾ cup

Chopped onions

¼ cup

Grated fresh coconut

¼ cup

Chopped coriander

3 tbsp

Finely chopped Ginger

2 tsp

Finely green chilli paste

2 tsp

Amchur powder

1 tsp

Garam masala (Optional)

½ tsp

Black Salt

To taste

Ghee

for cooking

Main Methods:

  1. Combine all the ingredients into a paraat/ kneading bowl and knead to make a soft dough, using warm water.

  2. Initially add less water, gradually add later if required.

  3. Let this dough rest for 10 mins and be covered with a damp cloth.

  4. Make pedha with that dough for roti.

  5. Flatten the pedha into a round shape with the help of a rolling pin roti.

  6. Cook the rotis on a hot Tawa , Until both sides are golden brown, on a slow to medium flame.

  7. Basting both sides of roti with ghee.

  8. Serve hot with pickle and a dollop of ghee on top.
