Beautiful Greek salad made with wedges of romaine lettuce, fresh cherry tomatoes and olives piled on top, and a lemon tahini dressing.

Main Ingredients:



Heads of romaine

Lemon-Tahini Dressing:



Extra-virgin olive oil

¼ cup

Lemon juice

2-3 tbsp


2 tbsp

Minced garlic

2-3 cloves

Black pepper

to taste

Crumbled feta cheese (optional)

¼ cup

Finely chopped fresh mint

¼ cup

Main Methods:

  1. Chopped tomatoes, cucumber, celery, olives, shallot and keep them aside.

  2. Cut Halve the heads of romaine lengthwise, all the way through their bases so the halves stay intact and keep aside

  3. Cut vegetables. Cucumbers into small cubes, chopped celery, roundels of olives and slice the shallots.

  4. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the tomatoes, cucumber, celery, olives, shallot, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.

  5. Toss to combine and set aside to marinate.

  6. To prepare the dressing, combine all the ingredients, starting with the lower amounts of lemon juice and garlic.

  7. To assemble: Place romaine on a salad platter and with the help of a spoon Top(place mixture on the top of romaine) generously with the tomato salad mixture.

  8. With a spoon, drizzle the dressing over the salads.

  9. Then finish them with a sprinkle of feta (if using) and chopped mint

  10. Serve immediately, with sharp butter or steak knives to aid slicing.
